JSW Steel surges on higher crude steel production in November

JSW Steel is currently trading at Rs. 1127.00, up by 18.95 points or 1.71 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1108.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1105.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1134.45 and Rs. 1105.25 respectively. So far 12553 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1365.35 on 02-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 805.00 on 14-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1188.65 and Rs. 1102.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27232.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 39.31 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.14 % and 36.55 % respectively.

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in November 2014 increased by 3% and stood at 11.07 lakh tonnes (LT) as compared to 10.72 lakh tonnes in November 2013. The production of rolled products (long) increased by 29% to 1.86 lakh tonnes compared to 1.44 lakh tonnes in November last year. Meanwhile, the production of rolled products (flat) during the month was remains unchanged at its last year's level of 8.31 lakh tones.
