Kpit Cummins skyrockets on reporting 26% jump in Q3 net profit

Kpit Cummins is currently trading at Rs. 153.10, up by 8.80 points or 6.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 144.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 152.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 159.00 and Rs. 149.10 respectively. So far 454888 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 198.80 on 20-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.35 on 11-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 159.00 and Rs. 142.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1374.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.71% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.82% and 33.47% respectively.

Kpit Cummins Infosystems has reported results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company has posted a 26.03% rise in net profit of Rs 12.25 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 9.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 29.37% from Rs 119.15 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 154.15 crore in the quarter under review.

It provides free technical support for NGOs and small schools in Pune. Top clients include Cummins, HP, Deutsche Bank, Unilever and Renesas.
