Punj Lloyd Singapore arm bags Rs 1,394 cr resorts project

Engineering and construction firm Punj Lloyd group has bagged a contract worth Rs 1,394 crore in Singapore. The project involves construction of a hotel, villas, marine life park and water theme park for Resorts World Sentosa.

 

Punj Lloyd Group subsidiary Sembawang Engineers and Constructors (Sembawang), Singapore, one of the leading engineering and construction companies in Southeast Asia and the Middle East and North Africa region, has clinched this contract.

 

The project includes construction of the 374-room Equarius Hotel, a world-class spa, a cluster of 42 luxurious villas, the world's largest oceanarium spread over 46,000 square metres and a water theme park spread across 13,000 square metres.

 

This is its second contract with the iconic Resorts World Sentosa after the successful completion of a sub-structural works project at the resort in 2008. With this contract, the order backlog for the Punj Lloyd Group on a consolidated basis has gone up to Rs 29,256 crore.
