Tata Steel’s chrome ore beneficiation plant at Sukinda Chromite Mine has bagged the second prize in National Energy Conservation Award-2014 in mining category.  The awards were given by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the Ministry of Power.

The award is given to nationally recognized selected industrial units which have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilization and conservation of energy.
