Tech Mahindra’s arm develops healthcare app for Telangana Government

Mahindra Comviva, a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra and a part of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group, has developed a healthcare app for the Telangana Government, linking about 800 public hospitals in the new State. The application was conceptualized by the Healthcare Innovation Cell (HIC) of the Ministry of Health. This is the first dedicated app for any Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in India and is positioned to bring a paradigm shift in the healthcare industry by making health care facilities more accessible and amply reflects Government’s commitment to fulfill the Digital India Initiative.

The app lists about 800 Government hospitals including Primary Health Centres and area hospitals. Currently available for Android phone users, the bilingual (English, Telugu) app can be downloaded free from Google Play app store. The name of the app is Ministry of Health Telangana.

The application has been developed and managed end to end by Mahindra Comviva. Based on Mahindra Comviva’s WebAxn platform, a client - server solution that provided a rapid cross platform development and deployment of the mobile applications. The solution enhances mobile health-care experience by empowering users to manage their own account directly through a client on their handsets.
