Jet Airways carried 8.69-lakh revenue passengers in May 2010, registering a 41.2 per cent increase in May this year as compared to the same period last year. The official figures (from the DGCA) are, however, yet to be released.
At the same time, the airline's traffic on the international sector registered a 36.5 per cent increase as compared to the corresponding month of the year-ago period.
During the period, the airline registered a seat factor of 82.5 per cent on the domestic routes, while on the international routes it clocked an 80.3 per cent seat factor as against 75.4 per cent in May 2009. JetLite, which is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Jet Airways, carried 4.02-lakh passengers at a seat factor of 85.3 per cent during this period. crackcrack
