ITC, a diversified conglomerate is reportedly planning to invest Rs 440 crore to set up a biscuits and confectionary manufacturing plant in Odisha.  Earlier in July 2003, the company entered into the biscuits market by launching the Sunfeast range of biscuits. The company currently has two brands in the confectionery segment - 'mint-o' and 'Candyman'. The company is one of the largest private sector companies with a market capitalisation of $45 billion and a turnover of $7 billion.

ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
