NTPC, India’s biggest electricity generator, has entered into a term loan agreement with State Bank of India (SBI) for Rs 10,000 crore. The loan has a door to door tenure of 15 years and will be utilised to part finance the capital expenditure of the company.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
