2.00 (0.84%) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) expects output of natural gas to jump 81% to 116 million standard cubic meters per day by 2019. The company anticipates the jump in output after bringing newer fields in western and eastern offshore into production.
The increased production will come from Krishna Godavari basin gas block KG-DWN-98/2 as well as western offshore discoveries. The four projects with a capex of Rs 22,500 crore have been approved in past six months.
