Motherson Sumi moves up on reporting marginal rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Motherson Sumi Systems is currently trading at Rs. 463.00, up by 1.80 points or 0.39 % from its previous closing of Rs. 461.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 467.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 468.00 and Rs. 452.50 respectively. So far 167462 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 487.35 on 23-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 207.20 on 10-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 467.10 and Rs. 427.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 40665.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.59 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.36 % and 11.05 % respectively.

Motherson Sumi Systems has reported a fall of 7.99% in its net profit after taxes at Rs 113.79 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 123.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 12.11% at Rs 1241.52 crore for Q3FY15, as compared Rs 1107.43 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis the company’s net profit after tax, minority interest and share in profit/(loss) rose 1.85% to Rs 254.21 crore for the Q3 FY15, as compared to Rs 249.60 crore in Q3 FY14. Total income increased 14.52% to Rs 9153.81 crore in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 7993.50 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
