ONGC rises on inking pact with Super Wave Technology

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is currently trading at Rs. 334.70, up by 2.10 points or 0.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 332.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 334.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 335.95 and Rs. 333.40 respectively. So far 105395 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 472.00 on 09-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 271.40 on 18-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 351.00 and Rs. 332.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 286010.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.94% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.45% and 13.62% respectively.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has inked pact with Super Wave Technology for doing research on alternative technology for hydraulic fracturing. With this partnership, ONGC will provide assistance to SWTPL for developing Shock Wave Assisted Fracking Technology, an alternate to the conventional hydraulic fracturing which if proven effective as a substitute to hydraulic fracturing, in particular for shale gas exploitation, will be a game changer for the oil & gas industry.
