-96.30 (-1.01%) Bajaj Auto, the country's second largest two-wheeler maker has reported 6.83% increase in its motorcycle sales in January at 294,439 units, the highest ever for the month against 275,622 units in the corresponding month last year.
The company’s exports rose by 13.01% during the month at 116,996 units compared to 103,526 units in January 2011. Sales in the three-wheeler category, stood at 43,436 units as against 37,961 units in the same month last year, registering a jump of 14.42%.
Total vehicle monthly sales of the company for January 2012 rose by 8% at 337,000 units, marginally lower than estimated. The exports for the month rose 13% and the numbers of units sold were 116,000 units.
