Eicher Motors gains on reporting 49% jump in total sales in February

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 16540.00, up by 313.40 points or 1.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 16226.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 16510.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16699.00 and Rs. 16494.10 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 17200.00 on 19-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5002.90 on 03-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 16699.00 and Rs. 15100.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 44,671.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.98% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.16% and 20.85% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division Royal Enfield has reported a 49% jump in total sales in February at 30,240 units as against 20,343 units in the same month last year. During February 2015, the number of motorcycle units exported jumped by 49% to 749 units as against 503 units in February 2014.

The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350cc increased 50% at 26,499 units against 17,721 units in the same period a year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350cc increased by 43% at 3,741 units as against 2,622 units in February last year.
