Grasim Industries Ltd.

Grasim Industries has completed the last phase of its Greenfield Viscose Staple Fibre (VSF) Plant at Vilayat in state of Gujarat for production of Specialty Fibre, by commissioning the 4th line.

The company’s VSF capacity at Vilayat thus stands enhanced at 120K (tonnes per annum) TPA, while its overall VSF capacity stands enhanced at 498K TPA.

Grasim Industries is the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. Starting as a textiles manufacturer in 1948, today Grasim’s businesses comprise viscose staple fibre (VSF), cement, chemicals and textiles. Its core businesses are VSF and cement, which contribute to over 90 per cent of its revenues and operating profits.
