United Spirits has discontinued its manufacturing activities at its unit situated at Jannagar Road, Serampore, Hooghly in state of West Bengal with effect from February 28, 2015, in view of space constraints for further expansion and also other operational issues.

All the issues pertaining to workmen/employees have been amicably settled through a settlement in accordance with law. The company does not expect the discontinuation of manufacturing activities at the aforesaid unit to have any material impact on the operations of the company.

United Spirits is the largest spirits company in India and a flagship entity of $2 billion UB group. It manufactures wide range of whisky, vodka, rum and other spirits.
