PFC gains on subsidiary transferring ‘DGEN Transmission Company’ to Instalaciones Inabensa

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is currently trading at Rs. 280.35, up by 4.95 points or 1.80 % from its previous closing of Rs. 275.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 277.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 280.80 and Rs. 276.05 respectively. So far 19983 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 344.20 on 10-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 171.85 on 24-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 289.65 and Rs. 272.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 36888.54 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.80 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.89 % and 5.31 % respectively.

Power Finance Corporation’s (PFC) wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) - PFC Consulting, has transferred its WOS namely ‘DGEN Transmission Company’ to ‘Instalaciones Inabensa, S.A.’. The successful bidder was selected through ‘Tariff based Competitive Bidding Guidelines for Transmission services’ issued by Ministry of Power, Government of India.

DGEN Transmission Company (formerly DGEN & Uttrakhand Transmission Company) has been incorporated for development of Transmission System associated with DGEN TPS (1200 MW) of Torrent Power.

PFC provides large range of financial products and services like project term loan, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loan, and consultancy services for various power projects in generation, transmission, distribution sector as well as for renovation and modernization of existing power projects.
