Tata Motors’ British-based arm Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) has decided to manufacture the Range Rover Evoque at its Pune facility to support sales growth in the local market. This will be the fourth vehicle that will be manufactured at this plant, others are Freelander 2, Jaguar XF and XJ.
The locally-manufactured Range Rover Evoque is now available for sale, with deliveries expected to begin from early April 2015. The Range Rover Evoque will be available in a 2.2 Litre SD4 Diesel engine, delivering a maximum power output of 140 kW at the rate of 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 420 Nm at the rate of 2,000 rpm. It will be offered in three derivatives: Pure, Dynamic and Prestige.
