Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm has won orders worth Rs 1,255 crore across various business segments in March 2015. Under Buildings & Factories Business, it has secured a major order worth Rs 825 crore from a premium developer in Bengaluru. The project encompasses design and construction of a residential building complex. The scope involves civil & structural works for 16 towers (10 towers of 27 floors each and 6 nos. of 14-floor towers).
Under Power Transmission & Distribution Business, the business has secured new orders worth Rs 430 crore. In the domestic market, an order has been received from the Power Grid Corporation of India for the construction of a 765kV double circuit transmission line in Uttar Pradesh. The project is associated with the Inter-regional system strengthening scheme for Western and Northern Regions.
On the international front, the business has secured an order from a private developer for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 132/11 kV substation in Dubai.
