Maruti Suzuki India, country’s largest car maker, has reported 12.51% rise in its production to 122,314 units in March 2015 as compared to 108,713 units in same month last year. Of total, the company has manufactured a 47,388 vehicles under mini segment (including Alto, A Star, Wagon R), up by 11.10%, as against 42,652vehicles manufactured in corresponding month previous year.

The company has manufactured 46,482 vehicles under compact segment, 8,707 vehicles under super compact, midsize and executive class segment, 7,311 units under utility vehicles segment and 12,426 units under vans category.

Recently, the company had registered a fall of 1.6% in its total car sales (Domestic + Export) for the month of March 2015 at 111555 units, as against 113350 units in March 2014. The company’s domestic sales rose by 1.4% in March 2015 at 103719 units, as against 102269 units in corresponding month last year.
