Natco Pharma soars on reporting 24% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Natco Pharma is currently trading at Rs. 283.00, up by 8.90 points or 3.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 274.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 283.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 287.80 and Rs. 279.10 respectively. So far 12705 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 298.00 on 29-Mar-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 197.25 on 25-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 287.80 and Rs. 270.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 884.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.01% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.76% and 25.23% respectively. 

Natco Pharma has reported a 23.91% increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 17 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 13.72 crore in the same period of the last financial year.

The consolidated total income during the third quarter also went up by 22.89% to Rs 145.43 crore from Rs 118.34 crore in the year-ago period.

The board of directors also declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share of Rs 10 each for 2011-2012.
