NTPC is set to enter into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Power Project coming up in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh (AP). The agreement would be inked with Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company (APEPDCL) as well as Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company (APSPDCL).

NTPC is in the process of setting up a 1000 MW solar park in AP and phase one of 250 MW is part of that park for which tender process is now underway.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
