Date: 13-05-2015The Exchange had sought clarification from Larsen & Toubro with respect to news article appearing in The Economic Times on May 12, 2015 titled ‘L&T, Hyundai Heavy Ink Pact to Build LNG Carriers’. Larsen & Toubro replied stating that they wish to inform at this stage that Larsen & Toubro Limited and Hyundai Heavy Industries have only signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enable participation in expected GAIL tender for LNG carrier. This is in anticipation of a possible retendering by GAIL to invite bids from potential ship owners for chartering of LNG carriers.
