Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 142.15, up by 1.30 points or 0.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 140.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 141.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 142.30 and Rs. 141.05 respectively. So far 54,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159.00 on 28-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 120.75 on 23-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 142.30 and Rs. 137.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 74,367.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.90% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.49% and 6.61% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation has received its shareholders’ approval to raise up to Rs 13,000 crore from domestic and external sources in the current fiscal through eight tranches. The nod was received through a postal ballot.

The funds will be used for financing the capital expenditure and provide loans to its wholly-owned special purpose vehicles (SPV) handling its projects acquired under tariff based competitive bidding.

Shareholders also approved sought for providing Rs 1,400 crore of funds to Power Grid’s wholly-owned special purpose vehicles - Vindhyachal Jabalpur Transmission, Gadarwara (A) Transco and Gadarwara (B) Transmission.
