Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division Royal Enfield has reported a 41% jump in total sales in May at 35,354 units as against 25,010 units in the same month last year. During May 2015, the number of motorcycle units exported jumped by 48% to 739 units as against 501 units in May 2014.
The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350cc increased 40% at 31,227 units against 22,356 units in the same period a year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350cc increased by 56% at 4,127 units as against 2,654 units in May last year.
