Axis Bank has unveiled a new mobile application that will allow its customers to book lockers, saving them many visits to bank branches. The bank initiated the process of booking lockers through mobile phones to offer customers convenience and transparency in transactions. The charge will vary from Rs 1,500-12,000 depending on location and size of the locker.

With this customers can figure out the availability of the locker from their homes or on-the-go. On booking the locker, the documents and KYC formalities can be done with the closest Axis Bank branch and the customer can claim the locker within 7 days.

Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. The bank offers the entire spectrum of financial services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates, MSME, Agriculture and Retail Businesses. The Bank has a large footprint of 2402 domestic branches (including extension counters) and 12,922 ATMs spread across the country as on March 31, 2014.
