Date: 05-06-2015Nestle India has received a notification from Uttarakhand FDA to ban the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of MAGGI Noodles for a period of 90 days.
The Delhi government has recently summoned officials of Nestle India claiming that the samples of Maggi noodles fail to meet food safety norms and are unsafe. The samples of Maggi noodles tested in Delhi were found dangerous for consumption carrying lead more than the permissible limit. The Delhi government is likely to impose a heavy fine against Nestle for selling unsafe products.
Nestle India has its presence in India for around nine decades, making it one of the oldest company in India. Nestle has created brands like Nestle Milkmaid, Nestle Everyday, Maggi Noodles, Maggi Soups, Polo, Kit Kat, Nescafe and many more.
