National Thermal Power Corporation’s (NTPC) five stations have received the National Awards for Meritorious Performance in Power Sector for the year 2013-14. These awards for efficiency and performance in the sector were presented at a function held in New Delhi.

The Dadri Gas station (840 MW) received the Silver Award, Korba station (2600 MW) and Ramagundam station (2600 MW) received the Bronze Award, Vindhyachal station (4260 MW) and Anta station (419 MW) received the Certificate of Merit.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
