Cigarettes to food conglomerate ITC is reportedly planning to invest Rs 8000 crore in Telangana. Of total, Rs 4,500 crore will go into expanding its paperboard capacity by one million tonnes. The firm has a capacity of five lakh tonnes at Bhadrachalam.

Moreover, the company would set up Rs 800 crore food processing facility in Medak district and a Rs 1,000 crore hotel in Hyderabad.

ITC has business a interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
