HUL gains on plan to open mobile-based marketing platform to external advertisers

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is currently trading at Rs. 887.70, up by 3.85 points or 0.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 883.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 883.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 890.90 and Rs. 875.50 respectively. So far 38,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 979.00 on 11-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 612.10 on 27-Jun-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 908.00 and Rs. 859.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,92,038.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.23%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.83% and 13.94% respectively.

HUL is planning to open its mobile-based marketing platform Kan Khajura Tesan (KKT) to external advertisers. KKT helps the company's brands like Lux and Fair & Lovely engage with rural consumers in media-dark areas. The KKT initiative was first piloted in Bihar, followed by Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
