Tata Steel has been conferred with the Sustainability Prize at the ‘CII-ITC Sustainability Award 2011’ in the ‘Category A’ for Large Business Organization (for companies with turnover of above Rs 500 crore). The prestigious ceremony was held at Delhi on February 10, 2012.
The annual CII-ITC Sustainability Awards are given out to recognize and reward excellence in economic, environmental and social performance. They are conferred to Indian businesses that demonstrate excellent performance in the area of Sustainable Development.
Tata Steel had already received the Sustainability Prize in the year 2006, 2007, and 2008 for Large Business Organization; and in the year 2009 and 2010 for Commendation for Significant Achievement.
