United Spirits Ltd.

United Spirits has reportedly sold United Breweries’ (UB) shares worth Rs 872 crore to Heineken, the promoter of the beer company. With this, Heineken’s stake has gone up from 39% to 42.1% in the company. The UB group holds 35.81% stake in the company. With the sale, USL has managed to cut its losses substantially.

United Spirits is the largest spirits company in India and a flagship entity of $2 billion UB group. It manufactures wide range of whisky, vodka, rum and other spirits.
