ABB India has won orders worth around Rs 145 crore from the Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Ltd. ABB will be responsible for the construction of a substation to connect the newly established Nabinagar thermal power plant to the railway network. The substation will have nine 400-kV bays and seven 132-kV bays and ABB will supply 16 low-loss transformers of various ratings.
The orders for a turnkey substation and power transformers were booked in the first quarter. BRBCL is a subsidiary of NTPC and Indian Railways. Its 4 x 250 MW (megawatt) Nabinagar plant is aimed at meeting the growing power demands of rail networks in the Bihar, Jharkhand,
