Tata Steel has registered Hot Metal and Crude Steel production of 2.59 million tonnes (up by 2.4% y-o-y) and 2.35 million tonnes (up by 0.5% y-o-y) respectively for Q1 FY 16. The Saleable Steel production is 2.23 million tonnes (MT) and Sales increased by 2% y-o-y to 2.14 MT.

The Pellet Plant achieved its best ever Q1 Production of 1.473 MT (Previous best 1.405 MT in Q1 FY 15) while the LD 3 achieved its best ever Q1 production of 0.605 MT (Previous best 0.585 MT in Q1 FY 15). Merchant Mill achieved its best ever Q1 production of 0.110 MT (Previous best 0.107 MT in Q1 FY 15). The New Bar Mill achieved its best ever Q1 production of 0.230 MT (Previous best 0.225 MT in Q1 FY 15).
