ONGC discovers oil and gas in Gujarat

ONGC has succeeded in discovering oil and gas from a well being drilled in Karjan taluka area of Vadodara district. It may take one month to estimate the quantity of availability of gas and oil from this well. This is a new site, where ONGC has started drilling a well and preliminary results give good hope of huge quantity of oil and gas in this area. The oil and gas was spotted in this well after digging around 550 metres. After discovery of oil and gas from Ankleshwar oil fields and Gandhar in neighbouring Bharuch district, ONGC has taken up drilling this site in Karjan.
