Apollo Hospitals plans to augment its capacity by around 25%

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (AHEL), one of the leading hospital chains in the country, is planning to augment its capacity by around 25%. At present, the hospital chain has 9,215 beds. The company has already got approval to raise up to Rs 750 crore through an equity rights issue.

In 2014-15, AHEL commissioned five new hospitals. It created additional capacity of 1,300 beds in the last 24 months.

Apollo Hospitals is the leading private sector healthcare provider in Asia and owns and manages a network of speciality hospitals and clinics, a chain of Pharmacy retail outlets across the country, and provides Consultancy Services for commissioning and managing the Speciality Hospitals.
