Eicher Motors surges as its motorcycle division reports 49% jump in total sales in July

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs. 19970.00, up by 864.80 points or 4.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 19105.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 19175.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 20099.05 and Rs. 18957.20 respectively. So far 12358 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 21618.30 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 8399.15 on 05-Aug-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 20099.05 and Rs. 18689.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 53389.07 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.91% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.11% and 12.99% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division Royal Enfield has reported a 49% jump in total sales in July at 40760 units, as against 27314 units in the same month last year. During July 2015, the number of motorcycle units exported increased by 72% to 893 units as against 518 units in July 2014.

The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350 cc increased 52% at 36452 units against 23996 units in the same period a year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc increased by 30% at 4308 units as against 3318 units in July last year.
