Hindalco Industries Ltd.

The Exchange had sought clarification from Hindalco Industries with respect to news article appearing in Financial Express on August 15, 2015 titled ‘Birla invests Rs 7,500 cr in Odisha refinery’. Hindalco Industries replied stating that this is to inform that Utkal Alumina International Ltd ( Utkal) is our 100% owned subsidiary. Utkal has made a total investment of over Rs 7500 Crores in its Alumina plant in district Rayagada, Odisha which has an inherent capacity to produce 1.5 mt per annum of Alumina.
