Nestle India has informed that on August 20, 2015, the Company has received Notice from the Hon’ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi (NCDRC) admitting the complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 filed by Union of India through Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs against Nestle India Limited seeking about Rs 640 crores in damages for alleged unfair trade practices and sale of defective goods. Complaint is available on NCDRC website http://ncdrc.nic.in (Consumer Case No. 870/2015). The Company shall appropriately respond basis legal advice.
