Areva gets Rs 900-cr Maharashtra contract

Areva T&D India has been awarded a Rs 900-crore EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract by the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company for turnkey design and construction of 36 sub-stations with 132 kV and 220 kV configurations.

 

They will be set up across the State over the next three years. Areva has already received the first order worth Rs 360 crore which involves setting up 18 sub-stations by December. Over the period of the agreement, the company will help the State transmission utility upgrade and expand its network.
