The Exchange had sought clarification from UltraTech Cement with respect to news article appearing in DNA on August 27, 2015 titled ‘Ultratech close to buying Jaypees central India unit’. UltraTech Cement replied stating that the Company, in the course of its business, evaluates various proposals. No proposal has reached the stage which would merit intimation under the listing agreement and accordingly we cannot comment on the report. They would, as in the past, promptly inform you of any event or information that may have a bearing on the performance / operations of the Company.
