The Exchange had sought clarification from NTPC with respect to news article appearing in Financial Chronicle on September 7, 2015 titled ‘NTPC kahalgaon super thermal plant may face closure’. NTPC replied stating that they have just confirmed from their Kahalgaon station and confirm that kahalgaon has an installed capacity of 4*210+3*500 =2340 MW and all 7 units are on bar as of now and generating as per schedule received from customers. There are no threats as such Media news regarding this matter is just an apprehension, Management is already sensitive towards any such issues and making all out efforts to maintain generation at kahalgaon super thermal power station, in Bihar.
