-400.85 (-2.75%) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has allowed foreign investors to invest up to 40% of the paid up capital in Maruti Suzuki India under the Portfolio Investment Scheme. The foreign shareholding by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Registered Foreign Portfolio Investors (RFPIs) in the company has gone below the revised threshold limit.
The purchases could be made through primary market and stock exchanges. FIIs held 21.75% in the company as of quarter ended June 2015.
