BGR Energy bags Rs 1,633 crore order

BGR Energy Systems Ltd, the power projects EPC company has bagged a Rs 1,633.7 crore order from the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company. The contract is for Balance of Plant for the 2 x 500 MW Marwa Thermal Power Project being set up by the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd at Marwa, Janjgir-Champa District.

The contract price comes with a price variation clause providing for adjustment of price based on movement of cost of raw-material, equipment and labour with a ceiling of 15 per cent. The scope of the contract includes design, engineering, manufacturing, shop fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, transportation, erection of equipment, civil works, structural works, commissioning and guarantee test.

This greenfield project will have features such as ash dyke and intake water system from Hasdeo River. This project is funded by the Power Finance Corporation and the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd.
