L&T rises as its arm bags orders worth Rs 1810 crore across various business verticals

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 1550.60, up by 10.60 points or 0.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 1540.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1535.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1554.85 and Rs. 1528.10 respectively. So far 130468 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1892.95 on 04-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1400.00 on 08-Oct-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1614.50 and Rs. 1528.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 144192.12 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 55.68% and 41.93% respectively.

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) subsidiary - L&T Construction has bagged orders worth Rs 1810 crore across various business verticals in September 2015.

Under buildings & factories segment, the company has secured an order worth Rs 740 crore from a leading real estate company in India for the construction of a commercial complex in Gurgaon. The project is scheduled to be completed in 24 months. The scope includes structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), finishes, landscaping and other allied works. Under water & effluent treatment segment, the firm has bagged a water supply order worth Rs 573 crore from the Rural Water Supply & Sanitation Department, Telangana under the Telangana drinking water supply project (Phase II) The project includes construction of three water treatment plants, 1700 km of pipeline network, fifteen major water storage reservoirs and other associated works to meet the water needs of various habitations of the Khammam district in the State.

Meanwhile, under power transmission & distribution segment, the company has won a turnkey order worth Rs 192 crore from the Transmission Corporation of Telangana for the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV quad moose double circuit transmission line which will run across Adilabad and Karimnagar districts of Telangana. Further, under transportation infrastructure segment, the company has received from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ballast- less track of standard gauge. The project will be executed in the elevated and underground sections of Mundka to Bahadurgarh and Dwarka to Najafgarh along with ballasted/ballast-less tracks in depots of the Delhi MRTS Project Phase- III.

Additional orders, across businesses of L&T Construction, have also been received from various ongoing jobs.
