Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) subsidiary--- L&T Construction's The Water & Effluent Treatment Strategic Business Group has bagged new water and waste-water infrastructure orders worth Rs 1509 crore in September 2015. Under the Water Supply & Distribution Business, the company has secured a water supply order from Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project, Government of Telangana. The project scope includes construction of a water treatment plant, 2835 km of pipeline network, twenty-five major water storage reservoirs and other associated works to meet the water needs of various habitations of the Adilabad district in the State.
Under the Waste Water Business, the company has won a turnkey order from Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) for waste water infrastructure works at Pali, Rajasthan. Funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB), the project scope includes construction of a waste water treatment plant, waste water network and allied works in addition to works for the reduction of non-revenue water.
