Power Grid rises on commencing power flow from Agra - Bishwanath Chariali HVDC Line

Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 128.70, up by 2.05 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 126.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 126.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 128.95 and Rs. 125.35 respectively. So far 59,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 159.00 on 28-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 120.75 on 10-Sep-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 132.00 and Rs. 124.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 67,487.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.90%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.74% and 7.36% respectively.

Power Grid Corporation of India has completed and commenced the power flow from Pole-I of ±800kV Agra - Bishwanath Chariali HVDC Line. This project is first ±800kV HVDC Transmission Line in the country and world’s longest multi terminal HVDC transmission line with line length of approximately 1,750 km and capacity of 6,000 MW HVDC bipole line from Bishwanath Chariali (3,000 MW HVDC Station) in Assam to Agra (6,000 MW HVDC Station) in UP through Alipurduar (3,000 MW) in West Bengal.
