Siemens to invest Rs 275 cr in steam turbine facility

Siemens Ltd will invest Rs 275 crore to triple capacity of its steam turbine manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. Spread over 60,000 sq m, the plant would make single and multi-stage steam turbines up to 45 MW for industrial applications.

The expansion programme will add three production bays totalling 14,000 sq m and it will have the capacity to make steam turbines up to 100 MW. The expanded facility will cater to the exports in Europe and also provide additional employment to 200 people.
