Ramadorai is the Chief Executive Office and Managing director of Tata Consultancy Services, and his appointment was for a period of five years from 9^th August 2004 to 8^th August 2009.  Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the company has re-appointed him for the above posts for the period 9^th August 2009 to 5^th October 2009, subject to the share holder’s approval.

TCS indicated that N Chandrasekaran, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director has been named as Chief Executive Officer designate.  He is intended to be appointed as Chief Executive Officer and managing Director of the company effective from 6^th October 2009, on the retirement of Ramadorai.
