Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has opened L&T Institute of Project Management (IPM) and L&T Power Training Institute (PTI) at the L&T Knowledge City in Vadodara. IPM has a tie-up with George Washington University, USA, and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and is a registered educational provider of Project Management Institute (PMI), USA. It is set up for furthering excellence in project management and the entire 5 phases of project lifecycle -- initiating, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing -- are covered in its pedagogy.

PTI will provide a training platform for power sector professionals. Using case-study, field visits, state-of-the-art simulator training and interactive information sharing by subject experts, PTI will groom a new generation of power project managers. It will also design, deliver and monitor the customer training programmes which are conducted as part of contractual requirement of each project.
