ACC records solid surge in cement production and dispatches

ACC started off year 2009 on a solid note with impressive 12.5% increase in cement dispatches to 1.89 million tonne, while production too grew by 12.0% in January 2009. The company’s dispatches have been increasing for the fifth month in succession on a sequential basis from 1.52 million tonne in August 2008.  Also, the growth has rebounded from negative 3.5% in October 2008 to positive 8.8% in November 2008 to impressive 20.7% in December 2008 and decent 12.5% in January 2009, on a y-o-y basis.
